Quick change closed chamber doctor blade

Tefl on coated closed chamber doctor blade, complete with side sealing gaskets, with quick blade change device and side seals.
The quick change device allows for fast blade and side seals replacement without using any tools.
Doctor blade positioning movement on precision linear guides.
The pressure of the doctoring process is exercised by two high sensitive pneumatic cylinders placed at the end of the doctor blade body. Doctoring pressure is adjusted by a pressure reducer.
Doctor blade movement and adjustment controls are positioned on each printing unit. In order to replace both blades, the operator must act on 2-3 hand wheels.
Whereas to replace the side sealing gaskets he must act on 2 other levers.
The doctor blade opens up with the blades facing upwards. This allows to control the state of wear of the blades
and to check to see if the body is clean.

ADVANTAGES
- Blade wear is REDUCED, UNIFORM and PREDICTABLE.
- Less probability of metal parts detaching, causing the anilox sleeve to scratch.
- Better doctoring process.
- Good sealing with UNIFORM and REDUCED wear.
- Also available in asymmetric version of doctor blades.

Automatic washing system on board

Modular in machine washing system for each printing unit: you can choose the units to clean and the type of wash (light, medium or intensive)

OPERATION
- The pneumatic pumps empty the doctor blade bodies and respective pipes.
- FIRST wash phase with recycled solvent: introduction of recycled solvent in system.
- When the doctor blade chamber and the circuit are full of recycled solvent the pumping of the recycled solvent and outlet stops the “LOOP” phase begins (the recycled solvent circulates at high pressure in the system).
- The pneumatic pumps empty the doctor blade bodies and respective pipes.
- SECOND wash phase with clean solvent: introduction of clean solvent in the doctor blade. The return of this solvent is used to restore the level of recycled solvent in the respective tank.
- When the doctor blade chamber and the circuit are full of clean solvent, the "LOOP" phase begins (the clean solvent circulates at high pressure in the system).
- The pneumatic pumps empty the doctor blade bodies and respective pipes.

- Less solvent consumption, thanks to the “loop” phase.
- Possibility of simultaneous wash of all printing units.
- Better doctoring pressure.
- More reliable.
- Better ink application.
- Optional: adjustment of ink viscosity and temperature.

Sleeve change on machine

Quick sleeve change system without removing sleeve cylinders from the machine.
Sleeve change can easily be carried out from the operator's side once the printing unit has been moved to the open position. A pneumatic jack lifts the sleeve cylinders allowing to change the sleeves.
The pneumatic jack is mounted on a tilting support to be able to use the sleeve system or the integral cylinder system.

When the pneumatic jack has freed the support from the weight of the cylinder, the operator uses a hand wheel to release the support, to remove it and turn it. This operation frees the area for the change.
Once the sleeves have been replaced, the operator must carry out the aforementioned procedure in inverse order.
This system drastically reduces job change times.
