The future of flexo came alive in Poly Craft Industries, New York!

At the recent Open House hosted by Poly Craft Industries in Middletown, New York, more than 80 industry professionals gathered to experience firsthand how innovation, automation and sustainability are reshaping the future of flexible packaging printing.

The event was made even more special by the official Grand Opening of Poly Craft Industries’ new facility, an important milestone not only for the company, but also for the local community. The new plant represents growth, investment and new opportunities, creating employment for many people and reinforcing Poly Craft Industries’ commitment to innovation and long-term development in the region.

The spotlight of the event was on the Uteco OnyxRACE flexographic CI press, running live and demonstrating the extraordinary combination of speed, precision and production efficiency that today’s converters are looking for.

One of the most exciting moments of the day came during the live demo, when the machine reached an impressive 1969 ft/min, confirming the outstanding performance capabilities of the OnyxRACE for medium and long run production. Beyond speed alone, attendees had the opportunity to see how advanced automation systems can simplify operations, optimize workflows and support consistent print quality even at very high production rates.

The event also highlighted Uteco’s commitment to a more sustainable and efficient printing industry. Through technologies such as Active Pack and ESG-oriented flexographic solutions, visitors explored how innovation can help reduce energy consumption, improve production efficiency and support more responsible manufacturing processes without compromising productivity.

More than just a technical demonstration, the Open House became a valuable occasion for networking, exchanging expertise and discussing the evolving challenges and opportunities within the packaging and converting market. Bringing together printers, converters and industry partners in a live production environment created the perfect setting to share ideas and experience the future of flexo in action.

A special thank you goes to Poly Craft Industries, especially Ezra Lebowitz and Rachel Lebowitz, for organizing such a successful event and for their warm hospitality.

And of course, thank you to all the Uteco team members whose dedication, professionalism and teamwork contributed to making this Open House a true success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared this experience with us.

See you at the next event!
