SapphireAQUA is FlexCA and Uteco’s new Digital Hybrid Printing Machine, with Water based inks, designed to be very competitive for Ultra Short and Short Runs.

SapphireAQUA is available with a maximum printing width of 1320mm and reaches up to 150 mpm of printing speed with max. resolution up to 1200x1200 DPI.

The printing engine system is co-developed with SmartJet s.r.l, part of the FlexCA and it features 4 colors (CMYK) + White as option. Our digital printing engine is equipped with top-notch digital technology for:

Compatibility with all Ink types

The system is Hardware Independent, meaning we can integrated every type of digital printing-heads. The drying system is very powerful thanks to advanced IR Lamps combined with hot-air drying.

SapphireAQUA is integrated with our up-stream and down-stream units for Primer/White or other Solid Colors and Finishing Printing Applications.

SapphireAQUA is the most cost-efficient solution compared to flexo and roto technologies for short and ultra-short print-runs.

Variable Data Printing

Product Versioning (similar packaging with high variability of printing details) and possibility to print with high variability in data with limited interruption of the productions, means very fast time-to-market.

Ergonomics

The digital engine is located very close to the ground floor (1,5 m) and is very easy to access to facilitate machine operation and routine maintenance.

Post-Print Processing

SapphireAQUA printing process, along with our digital inks, have been developed with the intention of being compatible with all post-printing processes (e.g. lamination)

Compliant with Indirect Food Contact

Uteco Water based ink has been developed to comply with current regulations in terms of safety and sustainability.
